Bénédicte is based in Strasbourg, France. She became interested in photography at age 16 and went on to study art. She is naturally drawn to landscapes, colors and objects. Bénédicte believes art helps her “love reality,” though she also feels it can be “a kind of malediction".

Every time I think about happiness, I picture the sea.

Loneliness.

What is your present state of mind?
I’m trying to work and not think about the boy I like.

What do you do if you can’t sleep at night?
I’m an insomniac…so I’ve learned to be patient, I guess.
Do you collect anything?
I collect pictures and stones when I go hiking.
What is the strangest thing you believed in as a child?
I thought my grandparents’ cat could understand me.

Blue, maybe because I love the ocean so much.

Hong Kong.
What are your plans for this weekend?
See my friends, work, horror movie night and try not to be in a bad mood.
