Maya Peruzovic

Founder at The Poplar, Split

Maya is the creative mind behind Poplar, a clothing brand distinguished by classic design principles and lively, youthful photography. She makes all of the prototypes herself, and is also responsible for Poplar’s imagery, which blends analogue and digital photos. She is stimulated by the architecture of Split, her 1,700-year-old hometown situated on the coast of the Adriatic Sea. Another source of inspiration for her is Jugoplastika, a local factory that produced high quality clothing and goods from the ‘50s through the ‘90s.
